In 12th grade we had to write our own chapter 27 of J.D. Salinger’s “The Catcher in the Rye” and I remember this to be the first time creating a story of my own. And how much I enjoyed it. The process of writing and creating has been a main part of my life ever since.

It’s 2002, school is over. I am playing snake on my Nokia, MySpace is in its babyshoes and my dream of becoming an actor dissolves into powder, after having to admit to myself that stage fright is not a great base to start with. So, advertising merchant it was ment to be.
13 years later I looked back at 4 years in the commercial business, 3 ½ years as a freelancer for Aggro Berlin, an independent Hip Hop-label, and almost 10 years as the CEO of fangfrisch berlin – a Berlin based people agency.

Still, that creative part was always within myself and I lost my heart to moving images in my early years already. It needed more attention and in 2015 I decided to give it a try. And never regretted it a second.

I’ve been working as a director, DOP and editor since, based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. For some projects doing all of it, for others just parts of it. Always depending on the requirements. My experiences in marketing, drafting, PR, working with people and in teams has been a great fundament for my work. It’s been a great ride so far, and I couldn’t think of anything, I’d much rather like to do.
